"God Loves You"

It's amazing and incredible,
but it's as true as it can be.
God loves and understands us all,
and that means you and me.

His grace is all-sufficient,
for both the young and old.
For the lonely and the timid,
for the brash and for the bold.

His love knows no exceptions,
so never feel excluded.
No matter who or what you are,
your name has been included.

And no matter what your past has been,
trust God to understand.
And no matter what your problem is,
just place it in his hand.

For in all of our un-loveliness,
our great God loves us still.
He loved us since the world began,
and what's more, He always will!

"Father... It Is Done"

The air hangs heavy,
My heart stands still.
They gather all around Me,
and hasten for the kill.

They tear My garments from Me,
undraped and naked here I stand.
While they prepare to crucify,
the bleeding Son of Man.

Just last week I spoke of peace,
and everlasting love.
Apparently to deafened ears,
and darkened skies above.

It was just last night I prayed,
"Father, if the will be Thine.
Take away this chalice,
this bleeding cup of Mine.

But yet, not as I will,
but as Thy will be done."
And when pain shot through My heart,
I knew My hour had come.

A noisy crowd shatters the night,
My heart begins to race.
And then a traitor's lips,
plant a kiss upon My face.

They scourged Me at a pillar,
and whipped Me till I bled.
But this was just a taste,
of the agony ahead.

A wreath of thorns upon My head,
I arched with every breath.
I went before the multitude,
they sentenced Me to death.

A cross I had to carry,
the splinters tore My skin.
The treacherous road to Calvary,
was just now to begin.

The midday sun took its toll,
My knees buckled and gave way.
My heart was beating very fast,
as on the ground I lay.

My head began to spin around,
and I felt the blistering heat.
I could not go on, and once again,
fell... at My disciples' feet.

I looked up at a tear stained face,
and even though they tried;
to hold back their emotions,
they looked at Me and cried.

I stumbled again and fell once more,
as time seemed to stand still.
Bruised and bleeding I arrived,
at the sacrificial hill.

And now I lay exhausted,
tormented by seething pain.
While nails are driven through My flesh,
piercing through my veins.

The agony is unbearable,
as spikes drive through my bones.
And they nail me to the cross,
to suffer all alone.

I now look down from My cross,
and see the brutal few.
"Father, please forgive them,
they know not what they do."

To My right and to My left,
the two thieves I behold.
One this day finds paradise,
but the other's heart is cold.

Below Me I can dimly see,
those gathered at My cross.
Trying hard to hold back tears,
as they suffer a great loss.

"Woman, behold your Son",
it hurts you, that I know.
I can see the torment in your eyes,
as tears begin to flow.

For My robe they cast their lots,
to see who gets it first.
My whispered words goes unheard,
as I cry to them, "I thirst."

My arms are getting weary,
and I am numb with pain.
The aching and the throbbing,
seems impossible to sustain.

Now I hang here all alone,
for all the world to see.
My heart cries out, "My God, My God,
why hast Thou forsaken Me?"

I see the sky above grow dark,
and not a sound I hear.
And I know deep inside My heart,
that the end is very near.

Yet, My praise can ascend to My God,
from this earthly life I go.
Because I can say: "It is finished",
as Resurrection I will know!

"Into Thy Hands I commit My spirit,
Father, take Thy Son."
I see the light of life go out,
"Father... it is done!"

            "My Soul's Secret Lover"

I have a deep dear secret, I know others won't understand.
That my soul's not in love, with any woman or mortal man.

I've always kept this secret, never wanting others to see.
That my first love is to Him, who first created me.

My first and secret love, the joy to see His face.
All my other loves, just have to take second place.

Many will say that my focus, should be on spouse and the kids.
But my soul is secretly focused, on my lover for what He did.

Showered me with His love, overcoming me like a flood.
Then He topped it off, by covering me in His blood.

You just have to tell your wives, or hope your husbands understand.
There's a secret spot in your heart, can't be filled by woman or man.

And although I love the children, and all the grandchildren too.
My first love's to my Creator, who made my soul anew.

We can all mingle together, find comfort in each other.
But it just can't closely compare, when I'm alone but with my lover.

You see it's a personal secret, I've traveled a wonderful trip.
I've come to know my Creator, we developed a relationship.

I know I'll always love Him, a sacred eternal bond.
A deep and perfect love, lasting eternal and yet beyond.

And although I love my family, and everyone dear to my heart.
My passion is for my Creator; who gave me a brand new start.

It's really a deep spiritual thing, that many will never understand.
Its roots are deeply seated, when creation first began.

If you feel the same as I do, then I know you'll understand.
That my secret love for my Creator, is part of His Holy plan.

So now you know my secret, it's open for all to see.
That my first love is to Him, who first created me.

"When Tomorrow Starts Without Me"

When tomorrow starts without me,
and I'm not there to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
all filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today.
While thinking of the many things,
we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you.
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand.
That an angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand.

And said my place was ready,
in heaven far above.
And that I'd have to leave behind,
all those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
a tear fell from my eye.
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.

I have so much to live  for,
so much left yet to do.
It seemed almost impossible,
that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
the good ones and the bad.
I thought of all the love we shared,
and all the fun we had.

If I could re-live yesterday,
just even for a while.
I'd say good-bye and kiss you,
and love to see you smile.

But then I'd fully realize,
that this could never be.
For emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow.
I thought of you, and when I did,
my heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
from His great golden throne.

He said "this is eternity,
and all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
but here life starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,
but today will always last.
And since each day's the same way,
there's no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful,
so trusting and so true.
Though you do some things,
you know you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven,
and now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand,
and share my life with me.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart.
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart.

"Healed And Whole"

One day I dug a little hole,
and put my hurt inside.
I thought that I could just forget,
I'd put it there to hide.

But that little hurt began to grow,
I covered it every day.
I couldn't leave it and go on,
seemed the price I'd pay.

My joy was gone, my heart was sad,
pain was all I knew.
My wounded soul enveloped me,
loving seemed hard to do.

One day, while standing by my hole
,
I cried to God above.
And said, "if you are really there,
they say, you're a God of love!"

And just like that, He was right there,
and put His arms around me.
He wiped my tears, His hurting child;
no safer place to be.

I told Him all about my hurt,
I opened up my heart.
He listened to each and every word,
to every sordid part.

I dug down deep and got my hurt,
I brushed the dirt away.
And placed it in the Master's hand,
and healing came that day.

He took the blackness of my soul,
and set my spirit free!
Something beautiful began to grow,
where the hurt once used to be.

And when I look at what has grown,
out of my tears and pain.
I remember to give my hurts to Him,
and never bury them again.

"God's Great Holy Ghost"

I'll never ever forget, what helped me grow the most.
Was the loving and brooding work, of God's Great Holy Ghost.

I'll never forget its wooings, I'll never forget its care.
At times I may have wandered, but His Spirit was always there.

At times I wanted to quit, fall away and roll to the side.
But His Holy Spirit kept going, doing His work on me inside.

His Holy Spirit is the surgeon, who'll operate on my heart.
Its goal's to make it tender, and give me a brand new start.

When first He showed me my heart, I immediately went into shock.
It was old with broken pieces, and hard as granite rock.

We both knew it was worthless, about to lose it's life.
We knew I'd need a new one, so I went under the surgeon's knife.

He quickly removed the old one, replaced it with His own.
It was mine to keep forever; a gift and not a loan.

I'll never forget His care, He nurtured back my strength.
Blessed me with His power, to believe and then repent.

Blessed me with His word, then gave me ears to hear it.
A secret special work, of God's great Holy Spirit.

Now with His heart inside me, I feel I'll do great things.
Become His son as promised, then later become a king.

It's all about His Spirit, that's working behind the scenes.
Its job's to take some dust, and wind up with some kings.

I'll never ever forget, what helped me grow the most.
Was the loving and brooding work, of God's great Holy Ghost.

"Treasures"

There are treasures in life,
    but owners are few.
Of money and power,
    to buy things brand new.

Yet you can be wealthy,
    and feel regal too.
If you will just look,
    for the treasures in you.

These treasures in life,
    are not hard to find.
When you look in your heart,
    your soul, and your mind.

For when you are willing,
    to share what's within;
your fervent search,
    for riches will end.

The joy and the laughter,
    the smile that you bring.
The heart unafraid,
    to love and to sing.

The hand always willing,
    to help those in need.
Ones quick to reach out,
    to labor and feed.

So thank you for sharing,
    these great gifts inside.
The caring, the cheering,
    the hug when one cried.

Thanks for the energy,
    encouragement too.
And thank you for sharing,
    the treasures in you.
